What was your favorite military assignment/duty station and why? My favorite assignment was getting to support the Marine Corps Security Guard detachment at the US embassy in Iraq.

Erik Russell Wilson, Navy, spent time with the Marine Corps infantry as an emergency medical provider. Erik deployed to Iraq and served in the US embassy supporting the Marine Corps Security Guard.  After returning to 29 Palms, CA, Erik again deployed to Iraq, this time supporting the Iraqi Army by rendering aid to their combat casualties, as they pushed into Ramadi. He also served on rotating tactical recover of aircraft and personnel (TRAP) missions supporting US Central Command.  Erik out-processed from the Navy to continue his educational career at Penn State.
