What was your favorite military assignment/duty station and why? Current assignment at Ft. Campbell.

Nicholas D. McKee, Army, never mentioned serving in the military as a young adult.  Nicholas (NIck) sure had an interest in all things war and military as a child. He’d play with his Army men non-stop and LOVED history. His mom said “I shouldn’t have been surprised when he told me, while home for Christmas, that he signed up.”  Many parents can attest that hearing those words from your child, that they wanted to join the military, gives a parent mixed emotions. You’re proud, but scared at the same time. Nick’s mom said “you just don’t let them see the scared part.”  Nick has done very well in the Army, and plans on going back to Penn State via World Campus to continue his education in Homeland Security.
