Memorable moment in your Penn State career: My most memorable moment of my Penn State career so far was for my Art Therapy class. For a project, we had to create an art piece and donate it to the community. I drew a drawing of the Navy emblem, American flag, and dog tags for a Navy veteran at an assisted living center. I then presented it to him and he absolutely loved it.

What was your favorite military assignment/duty station and why? My favorite duty station was San Diego, CA because that is where I met my wife.
My favorite assignment was MCACU (Marine Corps Absentee Collection Unit). It consisted of investigating, coordinating the apprehension of deserters, and escorting deserters and military prisoners. I traveled to different countries during this assignment, such as Germany and Japan as well as all across the United States.

Timothy J. Blaine, Marine Corps, comes from a military family, however was the first Marine. He served for 11 years as a Correctional Specialist. Timothy met his wife while stationed in San Diego, CA and had their first born son in 2021. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, he moved to Arizona where I finished his associate’s degree. Upon graduation, he knew he wanted to apply to his dream school, Penn State, for my bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Timothy will graduate with his bachelor’s degree from Penn State World Campus after the fall semester on December 17, 2022.
