What was your favorite military assignment/duty station and why? USS Alaska, a Trident Submarine is the best place to be stationed in the Navy.  Submarine crews are the best, and have the highest camaraderie.  Plus, I enjoyed the area I lived during those years; the Pacific Northwest is beautiful.  I was hoping for USS Pennsylvania, but that wasn’t available – Alaska was a great alternative.

Ronald Kocher, Navy, Capt. (ret), served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years. During his time in the Navy, Ronald met Penn Staters everywhere he served around the globe. Ronald serves on the Board of Visitors for the College of Liberal Arts.
